The game already has basic monetization implemented through ads, rewarded ads, and IAP (premium mode)
Task for the game designer
Develop the system of energy, soft currency, and crystals, as well as propose monetization mechanics for the game.
Requirements:
- Think through energy
- logic of consumption and recovery;
- limits, ways to replenish;
- impact on the pace of progression;
- scenarios for replenishment through ads / crystals / real money.
- Think through the economy of three resources
- energy;
- soft currency;
- crystals.
- For each resource describe:
- sources of acquisition;
- main points of expenditure;
- balance at early / mid / late stages;
- interconnection between resources.
- Propose monetization
- purchases of crystals;
- purchases / replenishment of energy;
- starter packs, offers, limited-time offers;
- other relevant monetization mechanics.
- Add mechanics for rewarded ads
Need to propose places where rewarded ads will be appropriate and describe:- what the player watches the ad for;
- what reward they receive (energy, soft currency, crystals, boosters, etc.);
- limits, cooldown, and impact on balance.
- Make the balance such that there is an incentive for monetization
- purchases of crystals;
- replenishment of energy;
- viewing rewarded ads;
- purchasing offers.
Expected result:
- described logic of systems energy, soft currency, and crystals;
- list and description of monetization mechanics;
- separate list of rewarded ads mechanics with explanation of where and why they work;
- balance tables / formulas / key parameters of the economy for the three resources;
- recommendations on points of monetization in the core loop and meta loop of the game.

Here’s how I would approach the task:
I can:
- design a complete system of 3 currencies with clear sink/source flows;
- build energy as a tempo-locker without "breaking" retention;
- propose a reward economy for rewarded ads without cannibalizing IAP;
- form the structure of offers (starter packs / daily deals / limited-time bundles);
- lay down balancing parameters for different stages of progression (early/mid/late);
… - provide a formulaic approach (so you can easily tune the balance after release).
Preliminarily based on your specifications (as I see it conceptually):
1. Energy
- Core limiter of progress (session pacing)
- Recovery: time-based + ads + IAP refill
- Additionally: "soft overflow" through boosters (temporary increase of cap / decrease of expenditure)
- Important: do not completely block the core loop, but only create "natural stop points"
2. Economy (3 currencies)
- Soft currency = main progression + upgrades
- Crystals = premium currency (IAP + rare reward + ads caps)
- Energy = tempo currency
I would lay down:
- clear conversion pressure soft → energy / soft → crystals sinks
- control inflation through long-term sinks (upgrades scaling, prestige-like systems, or sinks in customization)
3. Monetization
- Starter pack (high value, 24–72h)
- Energy bundles (small friction purchases)
- "No ads + bonus progression" subscription or one-time offer
- Limited-time bundles tied to progression milestones
- "Fail/continue" monetization (but very carefully, so as not to break the cozy feeling)
4. Rewarded ads
Relevant points:
- +Energy refill (partial / full)
- x2 soft currency after level
- "instant completion assist" (not a full skip, but a booster)
- bonus chest after level
- daily streak protection / recovery
Limits:
- energy ads: 3–5/day
- currency boost: 5–8/day
- chest: 1–2/day

- economic design document (Google Docs / Notion)
- balance tables (Excel / Sheets)
- progression formulas (scaling curves)
- a separate monetization layer (IAP + ads + offers)
- and recommendations for integration in Unity (at the system level, without code or with pseudo-logic)
