An awkward silence fell, broken only by Thomas's heavy breathing. He himself did not expect such a reaction from himself. The rage was still boiling inside, demanding an outlet. Unable to hold back, he struck the makeshift table-drawer with all his might. A loud bang sounded, and several cards flew to the floor.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” – Simas muttered fearfully, stepping back.
Mindaugas frowned: “Calm down, guy. It’s just a game.”
Thomas looked at them with a wild gaze. He saw fear and confusion on their faces. And this scared him even more. What is he doing? Why did he get so angry over stupid cards? The rage began to recede, replaced by burning shame and confusion. He felt like an idiot.
The boy is 16 years old. The story will continue until his 36th birthday.
