example of a test task for a designer
Tool for execution - Figma.
IOS Mobile Application.
Title - Fruit Candy Frenzy. Orientation - Horizontal
- Loading screen
- Menu
- Map
- Game
- Shop
- Quests and Daily Challenges
Idea:
The player enters a magical fruity-sweet world where they need to collect fruits and candies to create perfect desserts. The game combines fast reaction mechanics with interesting combinations of fruits and sweets for bonuses.
Main game mechanics:
1. Gameplay: The player controls a small basket that slides along the bottom of the screen. At the top of the screen, there is a score / fruits / coins.
Various fruits and sweets (strawberries, bananas, grapes, pastries, gummies, chocolates) fall from the top.
The player must catch only the appropriate combinations – for example, fruit + candy = bonus dessert. Combinations are updated after closing.
If something incompatible (for example, banana + chocolate) lands in the basket, the player receives a penalty. The combinations to catch are located at the top right or left.
2. Obstacles: Occasionally, spoiled fruits or broken candies may fall – they must be avoided.
Bombs also appear – if the player catches one, the game ends.
3. Levels and progress: Each level has a different theme (summer picnic, autumn garden, chocolate factory, etc.).
With each level, the falling items speed up, and the combinations become more complex.
4. Customization: The player can change the appearance of the basket: for example, change it to an ice cream cart or a pastry plate.
New skins and effects are unlocked in the shop.
5. Modifiers. In the center right or center left, there are modifiers that can be activated. They can be purchased in the shop.
- Bomb protection for 10 seconds
- Automatic combo collection. The player can collect any fruits and sweets, and they will count towards the combo. A banana can count as a strawberry and so on.
- Slowdown. For a certain number of seconds, items fall slower.
Shop: Here the player can buy various basket skins, bomb appearance, as well as modifiers that can be used in the game in the future.
Menu: Here the Play button is displayed, which leads to the Map, as well as the Shop. At the top, the number of points / coins / fruits (currency) is displayed.
Quests and Daily Challenges: Every day there is a quest that the player can complete to earn some coins. For example, "Collect 30 strawberries in 1 game.", "Use all modifiers during the level", "Collect 10 combos in a row".

Project Description Looking for a 2D Game VFX Artist / Sprite FX Artist for a browser-based 2D MMORPG in the dark fantasy style. I already have combat animations implemented in PixiJS, so no coding is required. I need help specifically with graphic VFX assets: improving existing sprites or suggesting a new effect with new animation frames. I will integrate everything into PixiJS myself, so I only need high-quality graphic files and a clear frame structure from the performer. What Needs to Be Done Work is needed on combat effects: sword hit effect; magic hit effect; block effect; shield impact; shield break; miss / dodge effect; dust; speedlines; glow; particles; slash trail; magic trail; impact burst; arcane portal / magic dodge; crit / lucky / counter visual effects. There Are Two Types of Tasks1. Improve Current Sprites For example, there is already a ready effect, but it looks weak. It needs to: be made brighter; have cleaner outlines; remove excess noise; enhance glow / impact / particles; make the effect more readable in combat; maintain approximate size and direction so I can easily replace the file in PixiJS.2. Suggest a New Version of the Effect If the current effect is weak, a new animation variant can be suggested. For example: different sword slash; better hit impact; stronger shield break; more beautiful magic block; more understandable miss/dodge effect; new portal effect for the mage; more dynamic dust/speedline effect. In this case, a set of frames or a sprite sheet needs to be prepared, which I will then connect in PixiJS myself. What Is NOT Needed No need to: write PixiJS code; build React; integrate assets into the game; change combat logic; draw characters; create 3D; make a complete animation system. Only 2D VFX sprites / frames / sprite sheets are needed.Format of the Result Assets need to be delivered in the format: PNG or WebP; transparent background; separate frames or sprite sheet; preferably preview GIF/MP4; no text; no background; with proper file names; preferably source file: PSD / Krita / Spine / After Effects / Figma, if available. Example of names:sword-hit-impact-01.png sword-hit-impact-02.png sword-hit-impact-03.png shield-break-frame-01.png shield-break-frame-02.png shield-break-frame-03.png mage-dodge-portal-open-01.png mage-dodge-portal-open-02.png mage-dodge-portal-close-01.png warrior-miss-dust-01.png warrior-miss-speedline-01.pngImportant for PixiJS Assets must be convenient for further integration into PixiJS: transparent background; clear edges; no excess white outlines; the effect must be well readable on a dark background; preferably the same canvas size for frames of the same animation; the center of the effect must be stable between frames; frames must be numbered; if it's a sprite sheet — information about frame size is needed. Need to graphically design an online product with a description of types of human attractiveness. This document will be sold as a digital product. The designer is required to: 1. Format the text (font selection, structure, and layout). 2. Design the background and add graphic elements (search for images and videos on the designer's side). 3. Add photos in a slideshow format (I will provide). 4. Add videos (I will provide). 5. Format hyperlinks. Design type: moderate minimalism, but the design will change depending on the section of the document (there will be a total of 4 parts, which I will provide gradually). Mood: it should be a positive, Generation Z friendly, not boring design. It is preferable to have trendy fonts, shapes, and meanings, retro-futurism and rethinking of old forms are possible. But no millennial shapeless blobs, strokes, and splashes, thick outlines, tombstone frames, and dull beige palettes))) The document is planned to have 4 parts in total. One part will be 4-5 pages. There is a technical specification. The document must be interactive, so it cannot be done in PDF format. Most likely, we will have to work based on Google Drive, but I will consider other options (if there are suggestions). I am waiting for your portfolios. I do not offer more than 3000 UAH for one part. p.s. It would be great if you can draw and make logos, then the product can be customized. I am ready to pay extra for unique drawings if the offer is appealing.
I am looking for someone to prepare several illustrations (currently from one to seven) related to my novel (fantasy genre - I can easily share excerpts to check the atmosphere). To start, I need one graphic depicting a character (one of four, with plans to show a group as well), followed by two shots of objects, including one characteristic of the novel's world. All scenes would be based on my (fairly accurate) descriptions and narrative context, if needed. Initially simple, static, without dynamics. More expressive, spectacular ones can come later. The style I have in mind is a sketch on a texture resembling parchment (for example, sharp, fragmented, unfinished, focusing on a selected fragment, blurring the rest - something in that direction) or full black and white. Something that looks like notes from a wandering artist, without access to a full palette of paints and brushes. The graphics would be used for "propaganda," encouraging people to enter this world. I would place them on my Instagram profile, possibly someday in a gallery on my author website, but for now, I don't have such a place or opportunity. If the collaboration goes well, I could return with more commissions, as there is plenty of material. I am at the stage of my first publication, without an advance, so my budget for illustrations is still modest. However, I care about a fair valuation and a scope of work that will be profitable for you. The book's premiere will be around mid-September, and it would be nice to share at least one graphic before the end of summer.
Hello! I am looking for an illustrator to create a nonfiction book for children aged 7-9 about the phenomenon of books. The author of the book is quite well-known among children's literature authors. In the book, we talk about how books are created and what a book is in general. Its history, invention, different formats and implementations, printing, editing, about paper and various publishing things. There are 5 chapters that cover everything that might interest a child, from the perspective of the book itself. The character-Book interacts with the reader and her character-Author. There are many illustrations in the form of comic conversations between the Author and the Book. It includes interesting sections such as a book questionnaire, a book diary, and a map of festivals. It introduces the people involved in the book creation process. A total of 80 pages + cover. Examples of possible styles are attached. Collaboration agreement after a test task. I look forward to your applications! Even if you work in somewhat different styles but are interested in the project, I will gladly consider it.
