I am a professional sculptor and 3D artist, with a good knowledge of plastic anatomy, and I have extensive experience in creating portraits and 3D sculptures in ZBrush. This includes creating realistic and stylized portraits from photographs, busts, and bas-reliefs for further 3D printing and CNC.

For your project, I would suggest creating a bust for 3D printing as a test. In my opinion, this is the optimal option because a bust well demonstrates the recognizability of a person, the volume of the face, the plasticity of the form, and the quality of detailing. A bas-relief is also possible, but for testing a realistic 3D portrait, a bust will be more indicative.

I would choose a Metahuman that is as similar as possible as a base. In ZBrush, I would give realistic features of a specific person. For printing, I propose a bust (head and shoulders). I need about 7 days for such work. (I can try to create a Metahuman for free out of curiosity, providing the main large shapes based on a reference.)

I can create a test 3D portrait with maximum recognition of the person and prepare the model for further 3D printing.
To achieve the best result, I use a combined approach:
• AI-based shape (if needed)
• manual refinement in Blender/ZBrush
• sculpting facial features
• checking geometry for printing
• final optimization of the model
I will prepare 2 options:
