Unfortunately, the previous layout designer could not continue working due to unfortunate circumstances. I have all the source files, used files, and a prepared version for printing — so most of the work is already done. After the beta reader, only corrections will need to be made and the other formats prepared.
What needs to be done:
- Making corrections to the finished PDF for printing
- Preparing PDF for reading (light version)
- Exporting to FB2 and EPUB formats

Taking over a project at the final stage is a task that requires precision. The most important thing here is to make corrections properly so that the layout does not "shift" on adjacent pages, and to correctly convert the print layout into electronic formats.
I have 15 years of experience in design and printing (my school is the international giant RR Donnelley). I know how to work with other people's source files in InDesign and bring order to them.
My plan for completing your project:
1. Corrections (Print PDF): I will make corrections after the beta reader, strictly following typography rules (widows, hyphenation, tracking). Your print layout will remain perfect.
2. Digital version (Lite PDF): I will create a lightweight file with an interactive table of contents for screen reading/distribution.
3. E-books (FB2 / EPUB): This is not just "automatic export." I will reconfigure text styles so that the book scales and reads correctly on any reader (Kindle, PocketBook) and phone, preserving the structure of chapters and footnotes.
