3D modeling of IoT devices in Blender (GLB for the website + PNG renders)
The work is performed in Blender. The task includes two assignments:
1. GLB models for the website — interactive 3D models that the user can rotate
2. Preparing the scene for PNG renders — static images of the models from different angles and variations
GENERAL
List of models:
• IT-800 — Industrial IoT Gateway, standard device
• IT-800D — Industrial IoT Gateway, with display
• IT-800E — Industrial IoT Gateway, built into the case
• BOT-U — Relay Control Module
• BOT-A — Smart I/O Module (same case as BOT-U, only TOP PRINT is different)
• BOT-R — Relay Control Module
General requirements for models:
1. Simplify the models, remove all internal parts, leaving only the outer casing and interfaces, but ensure there are no gaps in the casing through the interfaces
2. Uniform materials for all models, colors and textures must be the same
What needs to be added (not present in the original models):
1. Interface for the antenna (connector/port on the casing) for models IT-800 / IT-800D / IT-800E:
- this is an element on the casing to which the antenna is screwed;
- can be taken/copied by analogy from the BOT-U model (the cutouts for it are already present).
2. The antenna itself as a separate object/collection (for the Antenna switch):

3. Cabinet (enclosure box) for integrating the IT-800E model:
- currently, there is no cabinet in the models — it needs to be modeled;

TASK 1: 3D MODELS FOR THE WEBSITE (GLB)
Interactive models for embedding on the website
Requirements for GLB:
• Format: GLB
• File size: 2–10 MB per model
• Polygon count: optimized for web
• Textures: uniform style, optimized sizes
Prints on models:
PNG prints (logos, inscriptions) need to be applied on top of the model. Prints change frequently — they are provided separately in PNG format.
Antenna / interface for the antenna:
• For IT-800 / IT-800D / IT-800E, it is mandatory to add the interface for the antenna (as in BOT-U).
• The Antenna switch controls only the antenna (antenna object ON/OFF). The interface for the antenna on the casing remains in the model at all times.
TASK 2: PREPARING THE SCENE FOR RENDERS (PNG)
We will create the final renders (PNG) ourselves. It is necessary to prepare a Blender scene ready for rendering.
File organization:
For each model — one separate .blend file (1 file = 1 model).
All variations (for example, antenna / cabinet / DIN rail) must be implemented within the same .blend by enabling/disabling collections. Separate .blend files for different variations are not created.
What is required from the performer:
• configured materials / textures / lighting;
• prepared camera and camera animation (keyframes/markers) for the specified angles — to quickly render all angles by switching through frames/markers on the timeline;
• identical camera settings for all models (FOV/focal length, exposure/color) — so that the renders look like a unified set.
Render parameters:
• Format: PNG
• Render size: 8192×8192
Logic for switching variants:
All optional elements (antenna, DIN rail, cabinet, mounting brackets, etc.) must be separate collections in Blender with clear names, for example:
• VAR_Antenna
• VAR_DIN_Rail
• VAR_Cabinet
• VAR_Mounting_Brackets
To obtain different render variants, it is sufficient to enable/disable the visibility of the corresponding collection and render again, the camera and lighting remain in place.
It is important about the camera area: the model should occupy significantly less space relative to the camera area (approximately 50–60% of the frame), so that when any additional elements are enabled (antenna on top, DIN rail below, cabinet around), everything is guaranteed to fit in the frame without cropping. After rendering, we will crop the image to the required size ourselves.

Important: output models
All 6 models (IT-800, IT-800D, IT-800E, BOT-U, BOT-A, BOT-R) already exist — I will provide them in .blend format or another convenient format. There is **no need** to model the devices from scratch. The task is to optimize, adjust materials, add missing elements (antenna, cabinet, etc.) and prepare for export/rendering.
