Acoustic device for orientation in an environment with unsatisfactory visual control
Prototype structure: a rescuer's helmet, on which 5 acoustic sensors are placed (arranged in a horizontal plane with an angular offset of 15 degrees directed forward), a sound alarm is placed on the rescuer's chest, a power supply and a computing block of the AT MEGA 2560 type are placed in a backpack worn on the back, an LCD screen is placed on the arm (similar to a wristwatch).
Idea: an acoustic action device consisting of 5 acoustic action sensors (of the HC 304 type), which zones the environment in front of the rescuer in a completely opaque environment. Laboratory studies have already been conducted on the influence of environmental parameters on the readings of one acoustic action device (the studied distance was 1 m) - the error was 5%.
On the LCD screen, it is necessary to divide the environment into 5 segments - each individual segment corresponds to 1 acoustic sensor, the calculated distance - based on the selected type of acoustic sensors (optimally up to 5 m) - the system operates similarly to a parking sensor, but it is not exactly the same). In conclusion, it is necessary for the LCD screen to display obstacles, their nature, and their shape.
Files for a clearer perception are attached; artificial intelligence sees it this way (a bit awkwardly, but I think the essence is clear).
Task: it is necessary to determine a clear set of system elements, clear names for the prototype assembly, and write code so that this system works (the sensors must operate simultaneously in real-time mode)

будут ли датчики работать одновреммено?небудутли мешать друг другу?
а если 2 или более в одном помещении человек?тогда нужно делать на есп например..чтобы синхронизировать их всех..в шлеме 5 датчиков,они поочередно отрабатывают.если +1 или более человек ,то и шлемы поочередно доложны отработать,тоесть их нужно синхронизировать.

Якщо Ви бажаєте отримати відстань до перешкоди то треба не звуковий датчик а ультразвуковий. Ось так наприклад як я робив https://youtu.be/cIYoztmDQDI
А якщо треба напрямок на джерело звука, то до звукових датчиків треба додавати досить масивний раструб. Інакше рівень шумів буде перевищувати різницю рівнів корисного звуку на окремі датчики. Це власний досвід дослідження.
