Upper Back
Exercises:
- Upper back stretch
- Chest opening
- Arm stretch across the chest
- Wall Angels
- Thoracic extension
General requirements (important to maintain):
— use the same animation system (shape + rotation + position) that already works correctly in Lottie
— one character, unified style
— smooth loop animations of 4–8 seconds
— no background
— lightweight (for mobile application)
CRITICALLY IMPORTANT (consider past animation errors):
- NO abrupt opacity switches
→ all elements must always be visible - NO “jumps”
→ movement must be continuous
→ loop must be perfectly seamless - MINIMUM keys
→ only key phases of movement - EASY EASE
→ no linear abrupt transitions - READABILITY
→ user must understand the movement in 1 second
- UPPER BACK STRETCH
Movement:
— arms forward
— back rounds (like a “hump”)
Important:
— focus on rounding the upper back
— head slightly tilts forward
— shoulders move forward
Error:
— cannot move only the arms
— movement must come from the back
- CHEST OPENING
Movement:
— arms move back
— chest opens
Important:
— shoulders back
— chest slightly forward
— posture becomes “straight”
Error:
— cannot just spread the arms
— must read as opening the rib cage
- ARM STRETCH ACROSS THE CHEST
Movement:
— one arm stretches across the body
— the other holds it
Important:
— movement is static (stretch)
— add a micro-rocking (very light)
Error:
— cannot make an active animation
— this exercise must be “calm”
- WALL ANGELS
Movement:
— back flat (like against a wall)
— arms move up and down in an arc
Important:
— arms move synchronously
— elbows do not “break”
— movement strictly up/down
Error:
— cannot make circles
— cannot lift arms off the imaginary “wall”
- THORACIC EXTENSION
Movement:
— chest moves forward
— upper back extends
Important:
— movement is small but noticeable
— focus on opening
Error:
— cannot make too strong of an arch
— must look safe
STRUCTURE OF ANY ANIMATION:
- neutral
- movement
- peak
- return
→ must have a smooth loop
PAUSES:
— in static exercises (stretches) add a micro-pause
— in dynamic ones — movement is continuous
ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA:
— movement is understandable without text
— no jerks
— no abrupt transitions
— loop looks infinite
— works correctly in Lottie
IMPORTANT:
This block critically affects the feeling of a “therapeutic application”,
therefore movements should be calmer and softer than in the shoulders.
